Unlocks

Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2: Special Forces both have special weapons unlocks that are granted to players whenever they earn specific ranks (the ranks which grant unlocks are identified in the UBARnot every rank grants an unlock). With each unlock that you are granted, you are able to select any one (1) of the Battlefield 2 Unlocks listed below.

Special Forces Bonus – At each rank that grants unlocks, a bonus unlock is available for those who have played Battlefield 2: Special Forces. In other words, rather than receiving one (1) unlock at your promotion, you will receive two (2) unlocks. This bonus is retroactive, which means that whenever you play Special Forces, you will soon be granted the bonus unlocks for all previous ranks earned. By playing Special Forces, you are also eligible for the second tier of Battlefield 2: Special Forces Unlocks.

Order and Availability of Unlocks – When an unlock is granted, you will be able to select any weapon listed below. However, the Battlefield 2: Special Forces Unlocks can only be unlocked if (a) you have played Battlefield 2: Special Forces and (b) if you have first unlocked a kit’s Battlefield 2 Unlock. For example, you cannot unlock the Medic’s H&K G36-E until you have first unlocked the Medic’s L85A1.

Some of the information on the new Battlefield 2: Special Forces guns was taken from this link. Thanks to Scopestyle and his clan’s site here!
