Some official Battlefield Vietnam maps that were released by EA along later game patches, did not offer the files necessary to play in coop mode. These are the conquest-only levels:
So, the BfV community made the effort back then and produced those needed custom AI files to enable coop. Because the server design doesn't support the download of custom content like in other games, you can grab them from here:

and manually install them, the game installation directory is typically located in
And also included are the files needed to play the Wake Of Nam custom map!
Don't forget to backup the original files somewhere safe, before overwriting the directory files...
