st Step: Install a copy of the BFV game on your hard drive. You can either do it using an optical disc or using an image like an ISO file, and mounting it with a CD/DVD emulation software; recommended for this are Daemon Tools Lite/Alcohol 52%. If you are not able to find a copy, contact Cuchillo_Baishan on the IRC chat #foxtare channel join Gamesurge Network, or send a contact mail asking for help.
nd Step: Install full 1.2 patch. Link: Battlefield Vietnam patch 1.2 (full)
rd Step: Install incremental patch 1.21. Link:

th Step: Install the final fix. You will have a servers list + some widescreen support + DRM removal. Link: Battlefield Vietnam final fix
th Step: Start the game and enter the serial number if asked for one. Choose "Multiplay", then "Internet", and then "Update". The list of servers from OpenSpy network should now be visible. Select one with the mouse and press "Join".
th: Enjoy! If you arrive at a map that is not present on your computer, on the Battlefield Vietnam directory where the level files are, the server will throw a message like "Data differs from server" or "Map files not present" while you're trying to connect. It happens because this game does not support automated file downloads from servers, so you'll have to manually install the maps from here:
