M249 SAW
Details
The only functional difference between the M249 and the Type 95 is the ammo capacity. While the RPK has a lower rate of fire than the M249 or Type 95, it is the most accurate basic LMG when firing multiple rounds, and does more damage per shot than the other LMGs as well.
Always drop to the prone position and you will get decent accuracy for short and intermediate ranges if you fire in short bursts. Watch the heat indicator, if you use the gun with sustained fire the gun will overheat and you’ll have to wait for it to cool down - another reason to fire in short bursts. Go prone in a narrow alley way and mow down enemies as they run down the alley, you can rack up quite a few kills this way. Beware, sometimes some idiot on your team could jump in front of you (while you are firing!) and you’ll end up killing them, so either be ready to let off the fire button, or prepare for a team kill. Just remember you need to go prone before firing – fire while standing and you’ll hit everything but the target.
The LMG is the primary weapon of the support class and is also used as mounted stationary gun.

In the 'real world'
The M249 squad automatic weapon (SAW) is in use by the US army and USMC forces. Arriving mid eighties it replaced the Browning automatic rifle and is primarily used to support infantry in defensive and offensive roles. The SAW is a gas operated, lightweight and handheld weapon that can be fired from a bipod or from different hand positions. It uses standard 200 round disintegrating belt ammunition but can also make use of M16 rifle magazines as well. With an effective 1000 m range and large ammunition capacity this gun increases your sides firepower considerably. 1)
